Long Overdue

Hey everyone I'm finally back after being away for 2 wks. and a lot has been going on since my last posting. I had a conversation with my friend named Andrew out of New York and he was stating that the current pop music landscape reminded him of the whole early/mid 80's new wave era where everything was driven by synthesizers and instruments like the TR 808 and 909 (Mainly used in house records). Listening to some of the snippets of tracks from Diddy's album Last Train To Paris while watching Making His Band you get a sense that he wants to be able to balance that line between creativity and constraint which means going left field but not too far so that he will alienate his fan base. I've always been a fan of that new wave sound because it was something so intimate and organic about it and you just can't get that nowadays with the whole studio driven sound. Hopefully this style of music will ring with a new generation and we will be partying like 1985 all over again.
