Concert Review

Last night I attended a concert in Ahoskie, North Carolina in which the R&B group Next and Slim from 112 performed. When my friends (They work for the local radio station in my area 99.5 Jamz) and I went up to the venue the show had already started but the show had to be moved inside to a theater downtown because it was raining and the original was to be outside at this amphitheater. When we got the opening act was already performing and was towards the end of his set, so once he came off stage the host of the concert started to interact with the crowd by dancing to some old school songs in which me and my friends were laughing at due to his selection of dance moves. After that lasted for about 10-15 mins. Next came out and IMO (In My Opinion for those that don't know) had the best set of the night. They ran through their hits and songs that they wrote for other artists. Of course all of the ladies rushed the front of the stage like it was showtime at the apollo. After Next performed out came Slim from 112 and his performance was hit and miss as the crowd was into it at times and other times felt bored. After going through his material and 112 songs the show was over due to Christopher Williams not being able to make it due to getting caught in bad weather. Overall the concert was good and the venue felt more intimate due to the fact that there was really no separation between the crowd and artists. I enjoyed myself and to me that was what a concert is all about and that is giving people a good show.
