Throwback Joint Of The Day

For today's throwback we are going with a song by a woman who had beauty as well as vocal skills. With hits such as Superwoman, Secret Rendezvous, Hungah, etc she was one of the many female R&B singers that shined bright in the late 80's and early 90's. Today she lives a nice quiet life away from the music business and works as an interior designer. Here is Karyn White in The Way You Love Me (Remix)

Stand Out

Standing Out is the name of the game in the new digital age. Any average Joe can just start a blog and put up interesting music/movie clips but you just got to have that little extra something in order to get the people's attention. Make your blog unique by using different colors for your background that hasn't been used before, talk about issues that have never been talked about in the blogosphere before, etc. The main point that I'm making is dare to be different and don't be afraid to stand out and stand up for what you think your blog should be.

Laugh Of The Day

Here is a throwback laugh from the show America's Funniest People.

Mass Consumption Of Music

Is it true of the old saying too much is never enough? Well in the music business there is. You see when a particular genre of music gets hot then the record labels and media outlets force feeds it down your throat til the point that you are regurgitating lyrics left and right. Any form of business is motivated by the almighty dollar and the best way to maximize your bottom line is to overkill a certain thing. You can look at some sub genres of music such as Disco, Rap, and Grunge as prime examples of this but the reason why Rap is still here is because unlike Disco and Grunge you have other lanes you can get into if you don't like a particular artist. When something is being forced upon you,no matter how much you get sick of it it is always in your face. That is why it is so important to have a balance in music because you have room to listen to other things besides the same songs you hear every hr. on the hr. But too much is never enough in the music business because once you are not in the public eye you will be quickly tuned out.
