Walter Cronkite

This man represented the way news is supposed to be brought to the American public and that is with honesty and integrity. He also represents an era lost in the cycle of 24 hour news outlets and instant news. The only way I could see Walter Cronkite is through archival clips on youtube as when I was born Dan Rather was filling in his shoes (Cronkite stopped doing the evening news in 1981). This essay which was written by AP writer Ted Anthony pretty much sums up what Cronkite meant to journalism and how so much has changed since then.
