Ax or Ask

We have always been taught when and where to use proper english and slang but now it seems like the younger generation are using more slang within a public setting where we know that using proper english is a must. We need to take it upon ourselves to correct one another if a word is improperly used or enhance our diction by subscribing to dictionary.com's word of the day. That's my short two cents but this video should explain what I'm saying in more detail.
